Flower borders

An effective border mixture will flower throughout the growing season. The components must also attract the most favourable insects. Which insects are attracted partly depends on the crop being grown at the moment. There are annual and perennial flower mixtures. Annual mixtures will flower abundantly, making them an ideal source of nutrients for the desired insects. Perennial flower mixtures contain more grass and therefore produce fewer flowers. The perennial flower borders around the demo field of Bejo are dominated by Artichoke. With its big leaves and thorny flowers, this plant takes a prominent place in the border. Eco Basket on your doorstep’ very successful 
In the north of Germany, you can find a special company with a unique sales strategy. The ecological farm in the eco-minded village of Brodowin was one of the first companies offering a so-called ‘veggie box subscription’. Although most products of the company are still delivered to wholesalers and organic supermarkets, the ‘eco basket on your doorstep’ is very successful and popular. The ‘Brodowin eco baskets’ are supplied in the Berlin and Potsdam areas. This allows people to have an eco basket delivered five days a week. The basket contains a wide range of products: vegetables, milk and dairy products, meat, sausage, eggs and more.
